Slitiny Stellite™ na bázi kobaltu patří k nejznámějším a nejúspěšnějších slitinám na světě s vynikajícími „všestrannými“ vlastnostmi. Kombinují vynikající mechanickou odolnost proti opotřebení – zejména při vysokých teplotách – s dobrou odolností proti korozi. Slitiny Stellite™ jsou většinou na bázi kobaltu s přídavkem Cr, C, W anebo Mo.

Slitiny Nistelle™ na bázi niklu jsou navrženy pro odolnost proti korozi, spíše než proti opotřebení, zejména v agresivních chemických prostředích, kde jejich vysoký obsah chromu a molybdenu poskytuje vynikající odolnost proti důlkové korozi. Jako kategorie jsou také obecně odolné vůči vysokoteplotní oxidaci a korozi horkým plynem.
